Here at Home Healthcare is a family-owned home care agency serving St. Louis and surrounding communities, including Farmington, Rolla, Cuba, and Troy. We provide non-medical, in-home care: companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. We're your neighbors for in-home care, not a corporate chain. Every family who starts with us begins with a complimentary in-home assessment by one of our nurses, and every caregiver we hire is one of our own W2 employees.

Here at Home Healthcare is a locally owned in-home care agency in Chesterfield. We compassionately support clients and their families at home across the St. Louis area, with companionship, personal care, and recovery support. We're looking for a Missouri-based accountant to take over our books on a contract basis.

You'll work directly with our owners, and with our General Manager once that role is filled.

What you'll do

• Close our books in QuickBooks Online each month, including bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare a monthly profit and loss statement and walk the owners through it
• Follow up on client invoices and open balances
• Review payroll in Gusto before each twice-monthly run
• Check that our federal and Missouri payroll tax filings are complete and correct

What you bring

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting for small businesses
• Strong QuickBooks Online skills
• Payroll experience with Gusto or a similar platform
• Missouri residency
• A clean criminal background (a background check is part of hiring)

Nice to have

• Home care or healthcare billing experience
• A CPA or EA credential
• Experience preparing S corporation returns (Form 1120-S)

The details

• Independent contractor (1099), about 10 to 15 hours a month to start
• $35 to $45 an hour
• Remote, Missouri-based
• You set your own schedule around agreed monthly deadlines
