Now Hiring: Part-Time Caregiver – Bowie, MD

Helping Hands Cares, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a gentleman living with Parkinson's disease in Bowie, Maryland.

The client has expressed a preference for a male caregiver.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping a client remain safe, active, and independent in the comfort of his home.

Position Details

Location: Bowie, MD

Schedule: 5–7 Days Per Week

Hours: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Assist with mobility and encourage safe movement throughout the home.
• Support the client with transfers and daily activities as needed.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, games, walks, and other engaging activities.
• Prepare light meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Monitor the client's safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Document care provided in accordance with company policies.

About the Client

• Gentleman diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
• Uses a motorized wheelchair.
• Enjoys companionship and engaging conversation.
• Looking for a patient, dependable, and encouraging caregiver who can promote independence while providing safe support.

Qualifications

• At least one year of caregiving, CNA, GNA, HHA, or direct care experience preferred.
• Experience working with Parkinson's disease or other neurological conditions is a plus.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
