Mental Health Counselor serving youth and young adults in a rural vocational setting
Pay is flexible past $62/hr depending on licensure and years of experience. This is a 20 hour/week, in-person position in Sedro Woolley, WA.
Do you want to spend your time in a rewarding setting working with youth and young adults? This on-site position is in a clinic, housed on a residential school campus. You will spend your days working in an integrated healthcare team with professionals who are committed to assisting students in their emotional, mental, spiritual and educational journey toward adulthood. You will act as an independent clinician to assess, treat, recommend and refer students, as needed, for additional care. Days and hours are flexible within the range of 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health counseling to teen youth and young adults.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement therapy techniques to address mental health issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current on best practices in mental health counseling and therapy techniques.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: LICSW, LMHC or PhD
- Strong background in mental health counseling
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy and patient assessment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
- Experience in working with youth and/or young adults with mental health disorders
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and refer as necessary
- Certification in mental health counseling is preferred and WA State licensure required

$52 - $62 per hour
