Remote product manager for mobile/web!

About HealthyWage

HealthyWage is reinventing weight loss and fitness using behavioral economics, data science and technology. Our weight loss and fitness challenges are based on research that demonstrates the power of financial incentives and social networks, which we harness to provide motivation, structure and accountability to drive behavior change. Our most popular product, the HealthyWager, lets people make a “bet” on their own weight loss and win up to $10,000. Last year, HealthyWage awarded more than $13 million in prizes. You can read about our company in hundreds of earned media pieces, including Good Morning America, the Today show, and the New York Times, etc., but our work has just begun, and we need strong, creative leadership to take us to the next level.

About the Position

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager with a passion for delivering an amazing user experience. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and creative skills. You love developing a detailed written procedure or flowchart just as much as contributing design input. You appreciate a beautiful spreadsheet just as much as a beautiful mobile app or website. You’re an exceptional project manager, adept at collaborating with various teams to drive a compelling roadmap. We are looking for someone who is meticulously detail-oriented.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve on our team of user experience experts. Together you will assess needs, fill product gaps, generate new ideas, and drive the evolution of those ideas into intuitive and engaging products and features.
  • Define and articulate product requirements into descriptive documentation. This includes product briefs, user stories, process flows, wireframes, work tickets, etc.
  • Work with leadership and the product & engineering team to develop product plans and roadmaps.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business needs and customer impact.
  • Work with UX/UI designers to gather feedback and validate designs.
  • Work with internal teams to produce product announcements, support documentation, etc.
  • Facilitate communication across all product phases and proactively alert leadership and other stakeholders about changes to scope, timelines, resources, and vendor management issues.
  • Take full ownership of your projects from creation, through launch, and continually via iterations and updates. Monitor and report on KPIs for your projects, including next steps and future plans.

Your performance will be measured by your ability to consistently deliver against milestones to drive the execution of the HealthyWage product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in product management.
  • Obsession about consumer focus and success.
  • Strong academic record with at least a bachelor’s degree (we will consider applicants who don’t meet this requirement but have particularly exceptional professional experience).
  • Familiarity with reporting and BI tools.
  • Experience with JIRA/Atlassian, Google Workspace and Airtable preferred but not required.
  • Exceptionally strong project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Competitive salary;
  • Two weeks paid vacation; and,
  • Virtual Office Program, which allows you to work from anywhere, as long as you have access to outstanding Internet service and can get the job done. The Virtual Office Program is one of the best parts of working at HealthyWage. We’ve adopted tools that foster a strong, fun, fulfilling and productive work culture, even though most of us are distributed around the country. We supply your remote office with the best supplies and equipment. The Virtual Office Program is amazing for professionals who also happen to be expecting mothers, parents of young and school-age children, people with pets, people who get restless living in one place for too long, and people who just want to be able to work from the mountains or the beach or the farm...or New York City minus the crowded subway ride.
