Schedule: Monday–Friday
Flexible hours between 5:30 AM–7:15 PM. This role includes a mix of early and later shifts throughout the week to best support member needs and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fitness Center Operations & Member Experience
- Assist with daily operations of the fitness center including facility coverage, member support, and maintaining a positive fitness environment
- Onboard new members and conduct fitness center orientations
- Provide general exercise guidance and oversight for participants of varying fitness levels
- Demonstrate proper use of exercise equipment and safe exercise techniques
- Conduct fitness assessments, exercise testing, and interpret participant results where applicable
- Develop individualized exercise programs aligned with current exercise science standards
- Lead engaging group fitness classes and wellness programming
- Implement and support member initiatives such as individual or team wellness challenges
- Maintain cleanliness of fitness equipment and facility spaces throughout the day
- Complete safety and incident reporting documentation in a timely manner
- Help coordinate annual wellness events such as company 5Ks, wellness fairs, and Farmers Markets
- Enjoy the autonomy to help shape the fitness center experience by creating programming and initiatives that align with your passions, certifications, and professional interests
Wellness Programming & Outreach
- Assist with on-site and virtual wellness programming as applicable
- Deliver health education seminars, fitness promotions, and wellness initiatives
- Create and distribute fitness and wellness communications including newsletters, bulletin boards, and educational materials
- Promote fitness center services and identify innovative ways to increase participation and engagement
- Support integration of fitness initiatives with broader corporate wellness programs
- Track participation data, reporting metrics, and assist with program evaluation efforts
Collaboration & Service Excellence
- Represent the fitness center in a professional, positive, and approachable manner
- Support quality improvement efforts and contribute ideas to enhance services and member experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, Wellness, Sports Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; or minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in corporate fitness, wellness, or healthcare-related setting
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Ability to safely demonstrate exercises, teach classes, and lift/move fitness equipment up to 50 pounds as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching a variety of group exercise formats such as Yoga, Spin, Barre, HIIT, or Zumba
- Nationally recognized certifications such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, or NSCA
- Experience in corporate wellness programming, health coaching, or fitness center management
- Passion for creating innovative wellness programming and fostering a strong fitness community
