Through a new partnership, we're expanding into school-based care, primarily serving Middle and High School students in the Normandy School District. The therapist will travel between school sites during the week while continuing to see clients in private practice. Position: Staff Therapist

Location: Hybrid — travel to Normandy schools, our main office in Clayton, MO, and Telehealth. As we prepare for an upcoming partnership with an agency, we are looking for people to do in-person therapy at local schools.

Status: W2-Employee (Options for part-time, part-time to transition into full-time, and full-time/salaried)

Who We Are Looking For

We are currently seeking clinicians who align with our mission. Candidates must be independently or provisionally licensed (LPC, PLPC, LMSW, LCSW). We are looking for someone to begin in approximately October 2026.


Terms of Employment

  • Compensation: Rates start at $57+/hour, depending on experience, for clinical work.
  • Caseload: Includes individual and group therapy, approximately 20–22 clinical hours/week.


Desired Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A strong, demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and our practice values.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Comfort navigating school environments and working within a multidisciplinary team (teachers, counselors, administrators).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards regarding documentation and confidentiality.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments, provide compassionate therapy to individuals, groups and/or families, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely documentation.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and peer consultations to foster our collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and administrators to support students' mental health needs within the school setting.
  • Coordinate care between school-based and outpatient services as needed.
  • Travel between school sites to provide direct, in-person therapy during the school day.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning when clinically indicated.
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements and school district policies for reporting abuse, neglect, or imminent risk to self or others.
  • Coordinate with school staff (counselors, administrators, nurses) during safety or crisis situations to ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.

Salary
