The role also runs the full client experience, including consultations, shooting, editing, and photo-reveal sales, paying $18–$22/hr + commission + tips.

What You'll Do

Sales & Client Experience

  • Cover scheduled desk hours at our partner resorts in Kohala as the face of Hawaii Family Portraits.
  • Proactively start friendly conversations with passing guests and convert them into booked portrait sessions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel staff so they actively refer and funnel guests to our desk.
  • Represent the brand professionally on resort property and create a welcoming, on-brand guest experience.
  • Meet booking targets driven by resort foot traffic and staff referrals.
  • Respond to and call new leads within 60 seconds of inquiry to maximize conversion.
  • Lead sales consultations that build trust, understand each family's vision, and book portrait sessions.
  • Set clear expectations for the session itself, including what to wear, what to bring, timing, and what to expect, so clients arrive prepared and confident.
  • Conduct photo-reveal sales appointments, presenting finished images and guiding clients to the products and packages that best fit their needs.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and past clients to drive bookings and repeat business.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, bookings, and sales in our CRM.

Photography

  • Shoot portrait sessions while delivering a warm, professional, world-class experience for every client.
  • Edit and retouch your own sessions to Hawaii Family Portraits' quality standards.
  • Set clear expectations during the session that prepare clients for a successful photo-reveal appointment.
  • Care for and manage your equipment, and keep the studio and shoot locations organized and ready.
