We are now seeking a full-time Fine Jewelry Polisher for a year-round position on our team of high-performing, collaborative jewelers.


Summary


As a Fine Jewelry Polisher, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and quality of our jewelry pieces. You will be responsible for meticulously polishing, cleaning, and finishing each piece to perfection, ensuring it meets our uncompromising standards of excellence. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the artistry of fine jewelry.


Responsibilities


  • Polishing and Finishing: Perform precision polishing and finishing on a wide variety of jewelry pieces, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
  • Quality Control: Inspect jewelry pieces for imperfections, scratches, or other blemishes and rectify them to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain polishing equipment and tools to ensure their optimal performance
  • Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols to protect yourself and maintain the integrity of the jewelry pieces being worked on.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including jewelers and supervisors, to ensure a seamless and efficient production process. Work in a team environment, maintaining a positive and respectful workplace. Comply with policies and procedures while maintaining professional conduct at all times.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of work performed, quality control checks, and any issues encountered.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the polishing and finishing processes.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Proven experience as a Fine Jewelry Polisher with a demonstrated track record of working on high-end jewelry pieces.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Knowledge of Materials: Familiarity with various jewelry materials, including precious metals (e.g., 14K white and yellow gold primarily, limited work with silver) and both natural and sustainably created gemstones and diamonds.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Proficient in working with polishing tools and equipment such as polishing wheels, compounds, and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to handle and store hazardous materials properly
  • Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively in a creative and fast-paced environment.

Additional Position Details

Reports to: Lead Fine Jewelry Polisher

Typical Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

Status: Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours per week, overtime up to 60 hours per week including weekend work is required in April, May, November & December).

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
