As an actuarial intern at Havarti, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge creatively and work collaboratively on real-world business problems. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

·      Assist in the development and review of actuarial models

·      Perform data analysis using Excel, R, Power BI or other tools

·      Document methodologies and results clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences

·      Support ad-hoc request from consulting teams and clients

·      Create and present an end-of-summer review to actuarial and senior leadership teams


Qualifications

·      Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field with an expected graduation date of May 2028

·      Successful completion of at least one SOA exam

·      Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with R, PowerBI, or SQL is preferred

·      Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

·      Flexible can-do attitude, willing to help with all types of tasks, passion to learn new things

·      Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

·      Previous successful work experience of any type is required

·      Must have legal right to work in the US; must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
