NYC or Chicago preferred | Remote-friendly
Who We Are
Haus is a boutique, founder-led PR agency with a very simple philosophy: know the media, know the culture and make things happen. We're high-touch, highly collaborative and, admittedly, chronically online and deeply invested in knowing what's happening in culture before everyone else does. We're also nimble by design, without layers of bureaucracy. You work directly with founders, clients and media, have real ownership over your work, and get to see the impact of what you do. Our clients span consumer brands, with a particularly strong roster of food and beverage / CPG, and we're looking to expand our team to support existing and new clients.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Account Executive with 4-6 years of PR, communications or marketing experience who is ready to take meaningful ownership of client accounts and workstreams. You should be someone who can build strong client relationships, keep complex work moving, bring smart ideas to the table and understand how to turn a client brief into work that actually makes an impact. You'll work across a roster of consumer clients, with a particular focus on food & beverage and lifestyle, and will have meaningful ownership across client strategy, media relations, influencer programming, events, partnerships and new business. This is a senior-level doer role. You should be comfortable leading a client conversation, developing a point of view, managing multiple workstreams and figuring things out when there isn't an obvious answer. You don't need to know everything, but you should be confident enough to take ownership, resourceful enough to find the answer and thoughtful enough to know when to pull in the team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in being a trusted client partner, not just someone who gets the work done, but someone who makes the work better.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact across assigned accounts and build strong, trusted client relationships.
- Develop and execute PR and communications programs across food & beverage, CPG and lifestyle clients.
- Bring proactive ideas and cultural POVs to clients, identifying opportunities tied to trends, news, products, partnerships, events, creators and cultural moments.
- Lead media relations efforts when relevant, including developing angles, drafting pitches, conducting outreach, building reporter relationships and driving coverage. Media relations experience is a plus.
- Help develop and manage influencer and creator opportunities, from research and outreach through coordination, execution and reporting. Experience with influencer marketing is a plus.
- Draft polished, strategic, client-ready materials including pitches, press releases, media alerts, talking points, briefing documents, recaps, plans and presentations.
- Lead or support client launches, events, activations, partnerships and other major moments from planning through execution.
- Stay deeply plugged into the news cycle, social media, cultural moments, emerging trends and, yes, whatever everyone is talking about on the internet that day.
- Manage account calendars, trackers, budgets, contact lists and other client materials, ensuring the team and client are always clear on what's happening next.
- Help guide and review the work of junior team members, providing thoughtful feedback and helping them grow.
- Collaborate closely with the founders and broader Haus team on client strategy, creative thinking and execution.
- Contribute meaningfully to new business opportunities, including research, brainstorming, pitch development and presentations.
What We're Looking For
- 4–6 years of PR, communications or marketing experience, ideally at an agency.
- Experience working with consumer, lifestyle, food & beverage, CPG, hospitality or other culturally relevant brands. Food & beverage experience is particularly valuable.
- Strong client service instincts. You know how to build trust, anticipate needs, communicate clearly and make clients feel like their business is in good hands.
- Strong strategic instincts and the ability to move beyond execution to understand the “why” behind the work and make thoughtful recommendations.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple clients, deadlines and priorities without losing the plot.
- A strong writer and communicator who can make a point clearly, whether you're writing to a client, pitching a reporter, presenting an idea or recapping results.
- A good cultural radar. You know what's happening in food, lifestyle, entertainment, social and the broader internet, and you're able to translate that into relevant ideas for clients.
- Media relations experience is a plus. You should understand how earned media works and be comfortable identifying stories, developing angles and working with reporters.
- Familiarity with influencer and creator marketing is a plus. You should understand how creators can fit into a broader communications strategy and be comfortable supporting or managing influencer programs.
- Comfortable giving feedback, helping junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment and knowing when to manage up.
- Confident communicating directly with clients and comfortable being a visible representative of Haus.
- A genuine interest in food, culture, lifestyle and brands, and preferably someone who has strong opinions about all three.
What We Bring
We're small, which means you'll actually get to do the work. You'll work directly with the founders and have meaningful exposure to clients, media and strategy. You'll have a lot of autonomy, a flexible remote environment and the opportunity to help shape how Haus grows.
A few other things we offer:
- Remote-first flexibility. NYC or Chicago preferred, but open to the right person anywhere in the U.S.
- Periodic travel to NYC, Chicago and/or client events, approximately quarterly.
- Healthcare.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Bonus eligibility.
- Company-provided computer.
- $100/month phone/internet stipend.
- Potential opportunity for ownership as Haus continues to grow.
- Lots of autonomy and very little bureaucracy.
- A genuinely fun team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
Compensation: $65,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience.
