Who We Are
Haus is a boutique, founder-led PR agency with a very simple philosophy: know the media, know the culture and make things happen. We're high-touch, highly collaborative and, admittedly, chronically online and deeply invested in knowing what's happening in culture before everyone else does. We're also nimble by design, without layers of bureaucracy. You work directly with founders, clients and media, have real ownership over your work, and get to see the impact of what you do. Our clients span consumer brands, with a particularly strong roster of food and beverage / CPG, and we're looking to expand our team to support existing and new clients.
The Role
We're looking for an Account Executive with 3-5 years of PR experience who likes being in the middle of the work, from client conversations and big-picture ideas to the details that make a program actually happen. You should be someone who can keep a client account moving, stay on top of the details, bring smart ideas to the table, write well, communicate clearly and understand what makes a brand relevant in culture. You'll work across a roster of consumer clients, with a particular focus on food & beverage and lifestyle, and will have meaningful exposure to client strategy, media relations, influencers, events, partnerships and new business. This is a doer role. You should be organized enough to keep five things moving at once, curious enough to understand why a client’s business matters, and scrappy enough to figure things out when there isn't an obvious answer. We're looking for someone who takes pride in being responsive, thoughtful, proactive and easy to work with.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients and help develop and manage trusted client relationships.
- Keep client work moving, from timelines and deliverables to meetings, follow-ups, approvals and next steps.
- Participate in client calls and meetings, helping prepare agendas, materials, recaps and recommendations.
- Help develop and execute PR and communications programs across food & beverage, CPG and lifestyle clients.
- Develop creative ideas and identify timely opportunities tied to culture, trends, news, products, partnerships, events and whatever else might make sense for a client.
- Support media relations efforts, including researching targets, building media lists, drafting pitches and press materials, conducting outreach and following up with reporters.
- Help manage influencer and creator opportunities, including research, outreach, coordination and campaign support. Experience with influencer marketing is a plus.
- Draft polished, client-ready materials including pitches, press releases, media alerts, talking points, briefing documents, recaps and presentations.
- Support client launches, events, activations, partnerships and other big moments from planning through execution.
- Stay deeply plugged into the news cycle, social media, cultural moments, emerging trends and, yes, whatever everyone is talking about on the internet that day.
- Track and report on client results, helping identify learnings and opportunities for what's next.
- Keep account calendars, trackers, contact lists and other client materials organized and up to date.
- Collaborate closely with the founders and broader Haus team on client strategy and execution.
- Contribute to new business opportunities, brainstorms and agency initiatives as they arise.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of PR, communications or marketing experience, ideally at an agency.
- Experience working with consumer, lifestyle, food & beverage, CPG, hospitality or other culturally relevant brands. Food & beverage experience is particularly valuable.
- Strong client service instincts. You are responsive, proactive and thoughtful, and you understand that good client relationships are built in the details.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple clients, deadlines and priorities without losing the plot.
- A strong writer and communicator who can make a point clearly, whether it's an email to a client, a pitch to a reporter or a recap after a big event.
- Curious about clients' businesses and able to quickly understand what makes a brand, product or idea interesting.
- A good cultural radar. You know what's happening in food, lifestyle, entertainment, social and the broader internet, and you're able to translate that into relevant ideas for clients.
- Comfortable with media relations and interested in continuing to build relationships with reporters, editors, creators and other industry contacts.
- Familiarity with influencer/creator marketing is a plus. You don't need to be an influencer marketing expert, but you should understand how creators can fit into a broader communications strategy.
- Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Confident communicating directly with clients and comfortable taking ownership of work.
- Someone who is detail-oriented without being afraid to move quickly.
- A genuine interest in food, culture, lifestyle and brands, and preferably someone who has strong opinions about all three.
What We Bring
We're small, which means you'll actually get to do the work. You'll work directly with the founders and have meaningful exposure to clients, media and strategy. You'll have a lot of autonomy, a flexible remote environment and the opportunity to help shape how Haus grows.
A few other things we offer:
- Remote-first flexibility. NYC or Chicago preferred, but open to the right person anywhere in the U.S.
- Periodic travel to NYC, Chicago and/or client events, approximately quarterly.
- Healthcare.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Bonus eligibility.
- Company-provided computer.
- $100/month phone/internet stipend.
- Potential opportunity for ownership as Haus continues to grow.
- Lots of autonomy and very little bureaucracy.
- A genuinely fun team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
Compensation: $55,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience.
