Harvest Point Academy is seeking a faith-driven School-Age Summer Camp Teacher to lead a Christ-centered, fun-filled summer program for children (K-5th grade). Key Responsibilities:


Faith-Based Instruction & Nurturing Environment

  • Create a loving, Christ-centered atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged.
  • Integrate Bible stories, prayer, worship songs, and Christian values into daily camp activities.
  • Encourage kindness, sharing, and Christ-like character development through group interactions and storytelling.

Summer Camp Activities & Program Development

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities such as science, arts and crafts, outdoor games, etc.
  • Foster creativity and curiosity through hands-on learning experiences that support grade school development.
  • Lead structured and unstructured playtime to encourage social skills and teamwork.
  • Incorporate faith-based themes into weekly camp activities to strengthen children’s understanding of God’s love.

Classroom Management & Safety

  • Ensure a structured, fun, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures, including proper sanitation and first aid protocols.
  • Supervise children at all times and provide positive guidance and redirection when needed.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Communicate regularly with parents about daily activities, child progress, and camp events.
  • Foster a strong sense of Christian community among children, parents, and staff.
  • Encourage parental involvement in camp activities and special events.

Professional Growth & Development

  • Attend staff training and development sessions to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to ensure a cohesive summer camp experience.
  • Uphold the mission and faith-based values of Harvest Point Academy in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Christian Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong personal faith and a commitment to Christian education.
  • Experience working with young children in a classroom, camp, or ministry setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about working with children.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to engage in activities, including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Seasonal, full-time/part-time position (June–July, schedule varies).
  • Hourly Wage $12-15/H
