Key Responsibilities:


Faith-Based Care & Development

  • Provide a nurturing and Christ-centered environment where infants feel safe, loved, and valued as children of God.
  • Incorporate Christian teachings into daily routines through prayer, songs, and Bible-based stories.
  • Demonstrate Christian character and model Christ’s love through words, actions, and interactions with infants and families.
  • Encourage early language development with faith-based music, reading, and engaging verbal interactions.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper diapering, feeding, and sanitization protocols.
  • Ensure a secure and clean classroom environment that prioritizes infant well-being.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and document any incidents according to academy policies.
  • Monitor allergies, special dietary needs, and medical concerns while following established procedures.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Develop strong relationships with parents, providing daily reports on feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental progress.
  • Offer spiritual encouragement to families and be a supportive partner in their child’s early faith journey.
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers, administrators, and church leadership to support a unified vision of Christian education.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development, and academy-sponsored worship or fellowship events as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Christian Education preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and faith-based education principles.
  • A heart for ministry and a commitment to nurturing children in a Christ-centered environment.
  • Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift infants and interact at their level (kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs).
  • Agreement with and adherence to the academy’s statement of faith and values.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
