Harvest Point Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-driven School-Age Summer Camp Teacher to lead an engaging, Christ-centered summer program for elementary-aged children. Key Responsibilities:


Faith-Based Instruction & Enrichment

  • Integrate biblical teachings into daily activities, devotionals, and group discussions.
  • Lead prayer, worship, and Bible-based lessons that encourage character development and faith growth.
  • Create a Christ-centered atmosphere that reflects the mission and values of Harvest Point Academy.

Summer Camp Activities & Program Development

  • Plan and lead engaging activities, including arts and crafts, STEM projects, outdoor games, and team-building exercises.
  • Facilitate field trips and special events that provide hands-on learning experiences.
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social skills through structured and unstructured play.

Classroom Management & Safety

  • Maintain a structured, fun, and respectful learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following school policies and emergency procedures.
  • Supervise students at all times, providing guidance and conflict resolution when needed.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Communicate regularly with parents about daily activities, student progress, and camp events.
  • Encourage parental involvement in summer camp activities and special programs.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive Christian community among students, families, and staff.

Professional Growth & Development

  • Participate in staff training and development sessions to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with other camp teachers and administrators to ensure a cohesive and dynamic summer program.
  • Uphold the mission and faith-based values of Harvest Point Academy in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Ministry, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong personal faith and a commitment to Christian education.
  • Experience working with school-age children in a camp, classroom, or ministry setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to engage children in meaningful activities.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to participate in outdoor activities and lead children in active play.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Seasonal, full-time/part-time position (June–August, schedule varies).
  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
