The Director of Client Success is responsible for the full cycle of the client’s journey, maximizing client saturation and the overall growth of their division. Their primary objective is to discover new business and deepen relationships with current clients. The Director of Client Success is responsible for the overall performance of the Client Success Team. The Client Success team works with the Recruiting Team to fill roles, exceed client expectations, build and retain relationships, and maximize profitability. As a team, they are responsible for ensuring a high level of service throughout the client's journey. An effective Director of Client Success will have the skills needed to build long-standing and successful relationships with clients. The ability to assess and prioritize profitability to maximize customer lifetime value. They'll need a clear, decisive way of communicating so that they can adapt solutions for different needs on behalf of their clients. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and warm inbound leads.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to penetrate new customers and markets as well as saturation of relationships with current clients
  • Developing, presenting, and negotiating fee agreements with new clients
  • Conduct successful closing calls and collaborate with BDAs on their closing calls
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities to expand the business.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Recruiting to manage recruiting team’s pipeline and workloads, optimize profitability, increase revenue, and elevate client satisfaction
  • Prepare and post job orders before passing them to the Recruiting team
  • Train & Develop junior Business Development Associates to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of company service lines and market position to maintain and grow HG’s competitive edge
  • Ownership of the client experience, from first contact, needs discovery, successful hand-off to Recruiting team, to continual follow-up and relationship building. 
  • Follow up with clients after a job order is closed to ask for feedback on their experience and to continue the relationship.
  • Follow up with all active clients monthly, seeking a new job order(s).
  • Maintaining a pipeline of active clients vs. inactive clients with the goal of keeping active clients active and moving inactive clients to active clients.
  • Clearly communicate the pipeline progress to their industry team & company leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a similar area
  • Roughly five years of proven sales experience in the industry or a related area
  • Two years of leadership or mentoring experience
  • 2-4 years of industry-specific experience 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Excellent Apple/Mac skills, including proficiency using Google Workplace as well as various audiovisual equipment and virtual meeting platforms, including Zoom and Google Meet
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Be proactive, organized, and handle work in stressful and uncertain environments
  • A GRITTY personality, the ability to stay consistent through a lot of rejection
