Job Overview:

Harambee Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Classroom Teacher to join our team. As a middle school teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people. You will work in a Christ-centered environment, providing education and support to students as they navigate their academic journey.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
• Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to learn
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the holistic development of each student
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with educational trends

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred) or related field
• Strong understanding of education principles and best practices
• Moral and spiritual requirements of deacons as outlined in 1 Timothy 3
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Passion for working with inner-city youth and helping them succeed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Salary Range: $43,000 - $59,000 per year
