Job Title: Team Barista and Baker
Job Type: Part-time (10-15 hours a week)

Salary: $15.75 to $16.75 per hour

We are currently seeking a passionate and talented individual to join our team at Happy Sparrow, our kolache bakery and coffee shop. As a team member, you will play a vital role by providing exceptional service to our customers, preparing and serving beverages and baked goods, as well as general cleaning and up keep around the cafe. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, with a high level of attention to detail
- Create and maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers and coworkers
- Take customer orders and efficiently process payments using our point of sale system
- Prepare and create baked goods, including kolaches, pastries, and other treats, in accordance with our quality and presentation standards
- Ensure a high and detailed level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the cafe, including all equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and team members (Food Handlers card is required)
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations, while maintaining a fun and effective work space
- Stay updated on current coffee and baking trends, techniques, and ingredients to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or over
- Previous experience as a barista or baker is preferred, but not required
- Passion for people, coffee, baking, and creating delightful moments for others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Shifts may start as early as 5:00am and end as late as 4:00pm, never working more than 8 hours in a day unless specifically discussed
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
