Restaurant Shift Leader
A HAPPY DAVE’S Restaurant Shift Leader will lead a team of Restaurant Associates to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the store operates efficiently. The Shift Leader will be responsible for training, mentoring, and coaching Associates, as well as completing minor management tasks. This individual will be the primary point of contact for all Associates during their shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and coach Restaurant Associates to maximize their potential and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Lead a team of 4-8 team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Process sales accurately at the POS and adhere to payment procedures.
- Support the store in achieving company goals and objectives.
- Handle specified restaurant duties including merchandising, vendor relations, customer service, and cleaning.
- Ensure the facility is secure and safe, complying with safety guidelines.
- Reconcile reports for opening and closing shifts.
- Work in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, and nighttime shifts.
- Ability to follow directions and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision under stressful conditions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to talk, listen, use hands, stand, walk, sit, balance, crouch, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and climb ladders.
- Specific vision abilities required.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
