Happied Contract Event Planner (Flexible & Remote!) Remote · Part time

Happied is looking for an Event Planner with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. This is the perfect role for someone who currently has a flexible work day, is excited to work with other top-notch event planners, and wants to make some extra income on the side.

Reports To

The Event Planner - Contractor will report to the COO and Event Planner Manager.


Contract Length

Contract length is set for an initial six month period with an opportunity to extend based on performance. 


Pay Structure

Event Planner Contractors are paid according to a commission structure, ranging from 0.5% to 1.5% of overall retreat spend. Commission rate will be outlined in each scope of work sent to the planner, prior to accepting assignment. 


Job Overview

Event Planners will be focused on planning team retreats only. Event Planners are the key to success, offering end-to-end client service and retreat planning. Event Planners will be matched with a client then given 48 hours to accept or deny the client match. If the Event Planner accepts the match, they will begin working with the client to plan a retreat that meets the expectations of the stakeholder and the standards of Happied. Event Planners often identify retreat locations, negotiate and book accommodations, book group activities, select menus and event details, and more. This list is non-exhaustive as it is subject to change per client (the Event Planner will receive details ahead of time in the Scope of Work).


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the booking, planning and logistics of accommodations, activities and other items to be booked on behalf of the client(s) for such Retreat(s) (such items the “Third Party Vendor Items”) using Happied’s process and tools;
  • Upload and update all Third Party Vendor Items to the Happied platform for review by Retreat clients;
  • Track the financial accounting for all Third Party Vendor Items and provide a final accounting to Happied;
  • Provide professional and friendly client service to Retreat Client;
  • Complete other administrative tasks that may arise from time to time with respect to servicing a Retreat

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years travel and/or event industry experience required 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, 4-year degree preferred. 
  • Applicant should exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. 
  • Applicant should be strong at following directions and problem solving.
  • Applicant should be reachable via email and/or slack from 9am ET to 5pm ET.
  • Applicant should have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicant should have experience working directly with clients.
  • Applicant must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.

Salary

$500 - $5,000 per month
