Why do we need a Creative Designer?

Our clients supply scientific products and services to biopharmaceutical manufacturers. They span globally from US to Asia to Europe. They require our assistance with branding, website design, brochures, trade show booths, promotional videos, infographics, social media graphics, reports, PPT decks and other B2B marketing collateral. We need a Creative Designer that takes our clients’ scientific starter content and transforms it into professional, beautiful designs.

 

What are the duties of the Creative Designer?

The Creative Designer will support the design and production of creative projects for Hapatune and multiple clients. They will develop engaging visual collateral for Hapatune and our clients that tells a story and elicits an emotional response from the audience. The successful candidate will bring graphic design and motion graphic production capabilities while effectively managing their time across multiple client projects. The candidate must be able to successfully pivot from project-to-project and from client-to-client in any given week. The candidate is responsible for upholding the high quality of work that is our hallmark. We are a small company, and like all of us, they will be expected to wear many hats! The Creative Designer will functionally report to the Creative Director.

 

What skills are required of the Creative Designer?

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or similar preferred

·      Five to ten years of professional design experience and a portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece

·      Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

·      Ability to convey scientific data using graphic elements like charts, graphs, and tables.

·      Life sciences or scientific pharma experience a plus

·      Collaborate with client’s scientific and business development staff to develop graphic presentation materials

·      Ensure designs align with client brand guidelines

·      Ability to concept and produce short, promotional motion graphic videos

·      Strong to expert experience with Microsoft PowerPoint

·      Website UI/UX experience preferred

 ·     Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills

·      Elevated soft skills to inspire creativity and work well with both creative (Hapatune teammates and contractors) and non-creative (scientific client) personality types

·      Ability to work cross-culturally with clients from US, Asia, and Europe

What is the time commitment required from the Creative Designer?

We are posting this job as full-time position. Part-time can be considered if the fit is right. Most importantly, we are a newer, but growing, company that is looking for the right fit for both parties.

 

Where are you located?

Hapatune has a bright corner office in downtown Chicago. We are also a flexible/hybrid company. As such, this is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in office and the other days working remote, with flexibility to meet specific employee needs. We meet together regularly, virtually (often) and in-person (on occasion), because it’s simply nice to do so.
