Qualifications: 

• 1+ years documented work with children 
• Degree or in the process of obtaining a degree in early childhood education, art education, STEM education, or related fields preferred 
• Must be 18 years of age or older 
• Ability to work outside and be on your feet for extended periods, and lift 25+ pounds 
• Available for at least 7 of 8 weeks of camp (running from June 16 to August 15 with the week of July 4th off) and staff training during the week of June 9-13 
• Child abuse, state police, and fingerprinting clearances required 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Lead Teacher in teaching planned art activities and projects to groups of 18-20 campers at a time 
• Supervise a “mini group” of 9-12 campers 
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining classroom space 
• Assist in organizing, setting up, and cleaning up materials for activities 
• Supervise children during transitions, playground time, museum play, art and STEM activities, and other specified times as needed 
• Direct and supervise teen volunteers during activities 
• Attend weekly staff meetings 
• Ensure safety policies are followed 

Other Information: 

• Average workday: 7:45 am- 12:45 pm, Monday-Friday 
• Rate: $15 an hour 
• Seasonal, part-time hourly position
