Job Description:

As a Caregiver at Hands of Perfection In-Home Care, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to clients in the comfort of their homes. Your primary responsibility is to assist clients with daily activities, promote their well-being, and ensure they receive the highest quality of care. You will be an essential part of our team, helping to maintain clients' independence while fostering a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with the care team and families to ensure each client’s physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care Assistance:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring clients from bed to chair, helping with walking, and using mobility aids.
  1. Companionship & Emotional Support:
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation, recreational activities, and social interaction.
  • Offer emotional support to clients, ensuring they feel valued and respected, especially in challenging situations.
  1. Health Monitoring:
  • Assist with medication reminders, ensuring clients take their medications on time and according to prescribed instructions.
  • Monitor and report changes in the client’s health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
  1. Light Housekeeping:
  • Help with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment.
  • Ensure that the client’s home remains a comfortable and safe space for them to live in.
  1. Transportation & Errands:
  • Assist clients with transportation to medical appointments, errands, or social activities.
  • Run errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
  1. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of client care activities, including any changes in their condition, completed tasks, and notes about interactions.
  • Report any concerns or issues related to the client's health, safety, or well-being to the supervisor or family members.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience & Education:
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid) are a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic personality with a desire to improve clients' quality of life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and families in a positive manner.
  • Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and providing mobility support.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves working in the homes of clients, typically on a one-on-one basis. Caregivers may be required to assist clients with various levels of care based on individual needs, including companionship, personal care, and medical support.
