Lead Salesperson / Sales Estimator – Asphalt & Pavement Maintenance
Role Summary
The Lead Salesperson is responsible for driving revenue growth by independently identifying opportunities, developing relationships, estimating work, and closing commercial asphalt and pavement maintenance projects. This role owns the full sales cycle and is expected to produce immediate revenue impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new commercial and municipal sales opportunities
- Conduct site visits and scope projects
- Prepare accurate estimates and bids
- Close work and build long-term customer relationships
- Develop and manage personal sales pipeline year-round
- Focus on commercial growth over residential
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth project handoff
Revenue Expectations
- Year 1 target: $1.5M in booked work
- Long-term: scale to $2M+ annually
Required Experience
- Proven experience in asphalt, paving, or related construction sales
- Ability to independently prospect and close business
- Strong estimating and job-scoping skills
- Existing industry relationships preferred
Compensation (Target Range)
- Total compensation: $100k–$125k
- Structure options:
- Base salary + ~5% commission
- Monthly stipend + higher commission (performance-weighted)
- Quarterly or annual performance incentives

- Comfortable with face-to-face selling and relationship building
- Results-driven; accountable for own leads and outcomes
- Capable of operating with minimal supervision
