Description

CNAs provide daily personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance. They also assist with meal preparation and help residents with daily activities.


Personal Care Assistance:

•      Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

•      Provide support with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.

Medication Management:

•      Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.

•      Monitor and document any side effects or changes in health.


Health Monitoring:

•      Regularly observe and assess the health status of individuals under their care.

•      Report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.


Meal Preparation and Nutrition:

•      Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and restrictions.

•      Assist with feeding if required.


Housekeeping and Maintenance:

•      Maintain a clean and safe living environment for individuals.

•      Perform light housekeeping duties and ensure proper sanitation.

           

Social and Recreational Activities:

•      Engage individuals in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

 

Communication:

•      Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

•      Document and maintain accurate records of care provided.


Behavioral Support:

•      Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors in a positive and supportive manner.

•      Collaborate with other professionals to develop behavior support plans when necessary.


Emergency Response:

•      Be trained and prepared to respond to emergencies, including first aid and CPR.


Advocacy:

•      Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals under their care.

•      Collaborate with families and healthcare providers to ensure the best possible care.

Salary

$21.5 - $23.5 per hour
