Description

About Us

Guesthouse is part coworking space, part bed-and-breakfast, an occasional adventure guide, and 100% yours. We build experiences, not places, and those experiences can happen almost anywhere. Whether it’s a remote home in the Sierras, a charming villa in wine country, or a converted industrial space on the waterfront, our focus is on creating an experience that fosters presence.

Our Vision

We create experiences that encourage new ideas, deeper meaning, and a mindset that drives relationships, business, and culture forward.

The Role

As we grow from a single flagship residence in Truckee, California, toward a network of properties, this person turns qualified interest into enrolled companies and booked stays, carrying each relationship from the first conversation through a seamless handoff to our hospitality team. This is a hunter-and-host hybrid: part corporate sales, part travel-industry partnerships, and part concierge-grade relationship management. You are the warm, professional face a prospective guest meets first and the person who ensures our beautiful, perishable empty nights are filled. The ideal candidate is a natural closer who leads with hospitality, thrives on ownership of numbers and pipelines, and is energized by building something in an early-stage environment where no two days are alike.

What you will do

  • Build and own the corporate Access pipeline: identify, prospect, and enroll a target list of 100 companies across tech, law, and media, primarily in the Bay Area and Southern California.
  • Convert inbound leads from LinkedIn and outreach campaigns into live conversations, then into enrolled members in our tiered Access program (Base Camp, Summit, and Founders Reserve).
  • Own high-value relationships end to end: from first outreach through a confirmed booking — then hand off seamlessly to the hospitality team (House Captain, Chef, and Guide) to ensure every stay is flawless.
  • Develop travel-industry and distribution partnerships (for example, Plum Guide, American Express, and corporate travel programs) to expand our reach among the right audiences.
  • Cultivate family-office and high-trust networks (such as FOMG) and referral sources that drive repeat bookings and warm introductions.
  • Manage the perishable asset: empty nights, with urgency and creativity, matching availability to the right members and the right moments.
  • Partner with the team to refine the offer, target lists, and messaging, and to report on the pipeline and progress toward occupancy goals.
  • Represent the Guesthouse standard in every interaction: gracious, precise, and two steps ahead.

What we need from you

  • 3+ years in hospitality sales, corporate or group sales, travel, or luxury service, ideally with boutique hotel or private-service experience.
  • A proven relationship builder and closer, comfortable opening doors at the executive and C-suite levels.
  • Comfort owning a number and a pipeline, with the self-direction to thrive in an early-stage, build-it-yourself environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the warmth and polish to represent a luxury brand effectively.
  • An existing network within Bay Area or Southern California tech, law, entertainment, or family-office communities is a strong plus.
  • Fluency with CRM and prospecting tools (for example, Apollo and LinkedIn) and familiarity with travel distribution platforms are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to the Truckee property and to corporate prospects as needed.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, including during calls and virtual meetings.
  • Ability to travel by car and air to the Truckee property and to corporate prospects.
  • Ability to move about at events and during property visits, and to transport and lift up to 25 pounds (marketing materials and event supplies).
  • Occasional exposure to a variety of weather conditions typical of a mountain climate during property visits.

What you will get from us

  • Competitive compensation: $95,000 base plus performance-based commission, with potential total earnings of approximately $120,000 – $140,000 and the opportunity for equity in a rapidly growing hospitality startup through share options.
  • Opportunity to work in a cross-cutting role, interacting with many different parts of the business.
  • Growth opportunities that come from working at an innovative and expanding hospitality business.
  • Opportunity to work in amazing locations around the world as we expand.
  • Generous benefit offering, including medical, dental, vision, and a Human Interest 401(k).
