Summary: Revved Industries, the parent company of Guerrilla Gravity, is the bike industry’s newest and most advanced carbon fiber operation. The company is driven by a passion to evolve manufacturing technologies, supply chains, and product designs within the cycling industry. We are looking for an experienced Finishing Technician to join our team in the proper preparation of materials for powder coating of our carbon fiber bike frames.

Description

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Previous experience in Prep/Finishing for Paint/Powder Coat 
  • Sandblasting and Coating experience a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing a plus

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Pre:

  • Sand and pretreat product 
  • Material preparation for painting and coating with by grinding, using hand tools and power tools as needed
  • Utilize pneumatic sanders and hand sanding to prepare surfaces of parts prior to washing
  • Must be able to use sandblast equipment to touch up by grinding irregularities on parts.
  • After post-sanding is complete, carefully and accurately inspects all areas after sanding for any flaws and imperfections
  • Wash parts to remove residual contaminants prior to powder application
  • Degrease/clean part surfaces
  • Prepares surfaces by rubbing, filling, and masking as appropriate
  • Inspect pre-treatments of parts
  • Masking parts to prepare for powder coating. 
  • Checks work and identifies issues to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Visually inspect the parts throughout production to ensure conformity to quality specifications

Powder Coating:

  • Maintain and clean paint booths and powder application equipment.
  • Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and on-time performance
  • Bake parts and products at appropriate temperatures within time limitations

Post:

  • Maintain and clean finishing tools and equipment.
  • Maintain and clean paint booths and powder application equipment.
  • Apply decals to powder coated bike frames
  • Follow standardized work instructions and produce frames at the required rate within the required safety standards
  • Comply with all manufacturing safety standards
  • Checks work and identifies issues to maintain quality and safety standards

  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Self motivated and highly organized
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist and reach for long periods of time
  • Read and understand work request and process plans
  • Understand parts, equipment, and tools used for the prepping process

Salary

$21 - $27 per hour
