Position Requirements:
- 2+ years working as or with a financial advisor at a a registered investment advisory firm or banking entity in a fast-paced office environment
- Relevant certifications (CFP, CFA, etc.) are a plus
- Insurance licensing strongly preferred (Series 65, SIE, 215: Life, Variable Annuity and Health)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial products, investment vehicles, and market trends
- Proficiency in financial planning software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with clients
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and other computer tools necessary for communication
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial services industry
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Discovery and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' financial situations, goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences
- Analyze clients' current financial positions to develop personalized financial plans tailored to their unique needs
- Financial Planning and Strategy:
- Create comprehensive financial plans that encompass investment strategies, retirement planning, tax optimization, estate planning, and risk management
- Collaborate with clients to set realistic financial goals and develop actionable steps to achieve them
- Investment Management:
- Recommend suitable investment strategies aligned with clients' risk profiles and objectives
- Monitor and manage investment portfolios, adjusting asset allocations and investment selections as market conditions and clients' needs change
- Retirement and Estate Planning:
- Develop retirement plans that ensure clients' financial security during their post-retirement years
- Provide guidance on estate planning, including the creation of wills, trusts, and beneficiary designations
- Tax Optimization:
- Identify tax-efficient investment strategies and opportunities to minimize clients' tax liabilities
- Collaborate with tax professionals to integrate tax planning into clients' overall financial plans
- Client Communication:
- Communicate complex financial concepts and strategies in an accessible and understandable manner to clients
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with clients to provide updates on their financial plans and address any questions or concerns
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, compliance standards, and changes in tax laws to ensure client plans are compliant

- Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training in financial planning practices and industry trends
