Strategic Account Coordinator
Full-Time | Sanford, FL | Sales | Reports to Executive Leadership
Guard Dog Security is seeking a highly organized, proactive Strategic Account Coordinator to help manage and grow a select portfolio of important national retail accounts. This role sits at the center of customer communication, Sales, Product Development, Design, Sourcing, and Operations—making sure opportunities move forward, commitments are met, and critical details do not fall through the cracks.
What You'll Own
- Support the day-to-day management and growth of assigned national retail accounts.
- Turn customer conversations and requests into clear action items, owners, and deadlines.
- Coordinate projects across Sales, Product Development, Design, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and external partners.
- Track key account activity, orders, timelines, samples, launches, risks, and follow-up items.
- Identify issues early, drive solutions, and escalate only when leadership involvement is needed.
- Maintain organized account information and provide concise visibility into priorities, performance, and opportunities.
- Help identify reorders, new product opportunities, and ways to expand existing customer relationships.
What Success Looks Like
- Important accounts have a dependable internal owner.
- Projects move forward without constant Executive Leadership follow-up.
- Customer commitments are completed accurately and on time.
- Internal teams stay aligned, accountable, and ahead of problems.
- Growth opportunities are identified and acted on.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in account management, national accounts, retail, consumer products, project management, operations, or a related field.
- Experience working with major retail customers, manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders at the same time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and comfort working with sales, forecasts, margins, and account performance.
- Proactive problem solver who takes ownership and can influence teams without direct authority.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
You May Be a Great Fit If...
- You naturally ask: Who owns this? What's due next? What could delay it?
- You turn meetings into action instead of waiting for direction.
- You can manage details without losing sight of the business objective.
- You enjoy building structure, solving problems, and keeping people aligned.
