This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, inspecting and storing inventory, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with order fulfillment. Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Report shortages, overages, damaged products, or discrepancies to management.
  • Accurately label, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory audits, and proper stock rotation.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment as needed.
  • Load outbound shipments while ensuring products are secured and shipped accurately.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, relocating inventory, and maintaining warehouse organization.
  • Keep warehouse, receiving, and storage areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe material handling procedures.
  • Report equipment maintenance needs, safety concerns, or inventory issues promptly.
  • Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as assigned.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, and forklift experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips, purchase orders, shipping labels, and inventory documentation.
  • Strong math and inventory counting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred bar code and inventory scanning system.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
