Growing Light Montessori School is looking for a warm, dedicated Head Toddler Teacher to join our supportive and collaborative team. This full-time role focuses on guiding children ages 2–3 in a nurturing, engaging Montessori environment that supports independence and development. We’re seeking someone with ECE coursework, toddler experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Montessori certification is preferred. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour


Job description:


Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 units of early childhood education that include: child development, child, family, and community, and curriculum
  • Minimum 3 units completed for Infant or Toddler curriculum
  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children - specifically ages 2-3
  • Montessori Certification for Early Childhood / Preschool and/or toddler level from an accredited training program


Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Supervise and carry out an effective program for the class in accordance with the philosophy of the school and Montessori teachings.
  • Guide and support toddlers through daily routines
  • Gear the program to the needs of the individual children with concern for interests, challenges, talents, etc.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to support a consistent and caring approach
  • Maintain communication with parents - in person or email.
  • Treat each child and staff member with care and respect.
  • Be responsible for the décor, appearance, and learning environment of the classroom.
  • Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs, including in-service staff meetings.
  • Reports to the Director for supervision.

Compensation:

  • $25.00-30.00/hr based on experience and completed course work.
  • 401K retirement benefit with 5% employer match.
