The Bowling Center Supervisor position will be responsible for the assisting the Bowling General Manager with leading on a daily basis including service standards, operational procedures and policies, guest relations, sanitation, environment control, cash handling, staff motivation, and safety and security. The Supervisor must be the leader of the shift and create an environment that encourages ownership and accountability. Supervisors are expected to maintain the quality and ethical standards set by Grizzly Lanes.

Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supervise daily operations: cover shifts, monitor labor, cleanliness, organization, service timing and quality of products.
  • Accountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor and cash control
  • Maintain opening, running and closing duties for department
  • Manage organization and cleanliness of departmental areas
  • Responsible to take a proactive approach to guest relations, including time spent on floor interacting with greeting guests, lane visits, etc.
  • Responds to customer complaints of service issues with either mechanical, technical, or customer service to ensure a satisfying customer experience.
  • Ensures the highest level of quality and standards of service.
  • Responsible for all aspects of guest relations and the quality of experience delivered to the guest, i.e. product, timing, service, entertainment, excitement, etc.
  • Empowers staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Responsible to provide management with direct and honest feedback of staff regarding performance
  • Stay informed on company’s policies and procedures under the direction of the General Manager as they relate to the Bowling Department.
  • Assist with staff training and employee relations
  • Assures that staff morale is maintained at a high level
  • Follow equipment operational compliance with appropriate laws and policies including OSHA safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays, as well as overtime to support business needs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Experience in high volume Family Entertainment Center Business
  • Interest and/or knowledge of Bowling
  • Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage staff
  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Strong computer/POS skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions and judgement in keeping with the level of the position
  • Maintain all safety procedures
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends
  • Sensitivity to confidentiality. Use of discretion regarding personal and confidential employee matters

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
  • Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 50lbs.
  • The ability to communicate quickly and accurately
  • The work environment may include bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
  • Be able to understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times

Pay: $16-$18/HR DOE
