Description

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Marketing Automation Manager who can own the setup, execution, and optimization of marketing automation programs for our B2B clients; primarily through HubSpot, but with working knowledge of other CRM platforms. This is a hybrid strategic and executional role, ideal for someone who can think critically about how automation supports pipeline generation while rolling up their sleeves to build the campaigns, logic, and reporting that bring those strategies to life.

As part of a fast-paced agency environment, you’ll collaborate with account strategists, content teams, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure that marketing technology is enabling, not hindering, growth. You’ll be the go-to expert on how HubSpot should be implemented, optimized, and evolved over time to support each client’s business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Management & Execution

  • Own the day-to-day management of client HubSpot portals: setup, segmentation, workflows, lifecycle stages, property creation, lead scoring, and pipeline configuration
  • Build and optimize automated email campaigns, lead nurturing sequences, and sales enablement workflows
  • Implement and manage integrations between HubSpot and other platforms (Salesforce, webinar tools, enrichment platforms, etc.)
  • Ensure CRM data hygiene, enforce naming conventions, and standardize data structures across accounts

Strategy & Consulting

  • Lead client meetings to present automation strategies, portal audits, performance reports, and roadmap recommendations
  • Translate business objectives into CRM/marketing automation strategies and roadmaps
  • Conduct audits of existing HubSpot or CRM setups and deliver strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with strategists to map out the lead lifecycle, define conversion points, and optimize funnel performance
  • Identify opportunities for automation and personalization that enhance user experience and drive results

Reporting & Optimization

  • Build dashboards and reports in HubSpot to track campaign performance, lifecycle velocity, and revenue attribution
  • Monitor performance of automations and workflows; proactively recommend and implement optimizations
  • Help clients interpret CRM data and uncover actionable insights that support continuous improvement

Client Enablement & Support

  • Provide guidance, documentation, and training to help clients navigate their platforms effectively
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on CRM best practices, data compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and platform governance
  • Stay up to date with HubSpot product updates and be proactive in bringing new ideas and features to clients

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in leading client discussions and presentations
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing HubSpot Marketing and Sales Hubs with active HubSpot certifications (Required)
  • Deep understanding of B2B customer journeys, lead lifecycle management, and marketing-to-sales handoff
  • Working knowledge of other CRM/automation platforms like Salesforce, Klaviyo, or Marketo
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting third-party integrations and middleware (Zapier, Make, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop scalable systems that balance personalization, automation, and performance
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple client accounts concurrently
  • Prior agency or consulting experience is highly preferred.
