Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club has been a vital part of the community for over 70 years and serves 150-200 children a day with programs that provide opportunities to develop skills for a successful transition from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. Programs are designed to channel youthful energy and curiosity into constructive activities that address today's most pressing youth issues. Core areas cover Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
Description
Tutor needed to
- Implement a personalized learning plan for students in need of academic intervention.
- The focus for this position will be on Math tutoring.
- Collaborate with school leadership and parents to provide 1:1 tutoring sessions at the club.
- Apply the Academic Intervention Case Management Program framework to design, monitor, and assess student progress throughout the year.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 6pm at our Boys & Girls Club in Locust Valley
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education with 2-3 years’ experience in an educational setting.
Salary
$30 - $40 per hour
