The Role
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will assist in the daily operations of our properties, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. You will work directly with the broker to maintain high standards of property management and tenant relations. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the overall success of our property management team.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing property operations and maintenance requests.
- Support tenant relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Help coordinate property inspections and follow the broker’s compliance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant leases, payments, and property maintenance.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for property upkeep and repairs.
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants and retain current residents.
- Help process rental applications and schedule showings.
- Visit properties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic knowledge of property maintenance and repair processes.
- Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software, and basic Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Schedule
- 20 to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact days and hours are set with the broker at hiring.
Nice to Have
- Two or more years in residential property management, leasing, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of California landlord tenant law. Familiarity with Alameda rent and tenant protection rules is a plus.
Salary
$25 - $30 per hour
