Greenville Pediatric Services has had the honor and privilege of being entrusted to care for the families of Greenville and surrounding communities for over 60 years. Our practice has grown to include twelve providers located in three offices in Greenville, Farmville and Winterville. Our team delivers collaborative, proactive pediatric care, from birth through adolescence, to ensure healthier futures for children. Our pediatricians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are well-suited to address the many ailments and injuries that childhood inevitably brings.

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) who is friendly, dependable, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service. What You'll Do

As a Patient Service Representative, you will be an important part of our front-office team and a key point of contact for our patients and families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome patients and families with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
• Provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive patient experience
• Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to questions, and direct calls to the appropriate team member
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
• Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
• Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
• Collect co-pays, balances, and other patient payments
• Communicate financial and appointment information clearly and professionally with patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative team members to help ensure efficient patient flow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and practice policies
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the daily operations of the practice

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, medical office, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively with children and their families
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to contribute to a positive workplace culture
