Description

As an Assistant Manager, you will be an essential part of the Greenheart Team. You’re an educator who is focused on guest experience. You facilitate and connect with the staff on your shift and oversee operations by placing your team members in the roles best suited for them. You will lead the team to focus on delivering the Greenheart Guest Experience: conducting juice tastings, making smoothies and smoothie bowls or our Signature Waffle. You also lead by example, functioning as an active team member on the floor by educating guests, supporting any operational needs, and keeping the shop clean.


You take initiative, are agile, and able to assess situations and people in a fast-paced environment. You work closely with the Shop Manager to provide feedback on shop operations, assist with coaching and training other team members, and develop close relationships with guests.

Business Management:

  • Communicates opportunities and other information to shop leadership
  • Communicates shop goals and focuses to the team
  • Executes shop operations and operational tools during scheduled shifts
  • Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Ensures facilities, shop technology and systems are running properly and takes immediate action (e.g. escalate to Shop Manager, contact HQ support) to resolve when necessary
  • Runs shifts in absence of Shop Manager


Customer Experience:

  • Anticipates guest and shop needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues
  • Ensures a clean and presentable lobby, front line, restrooms, and outdoor seating (if applicable)
  • Ensures the delivery of safe, healthy and presentable products
  • Educate our guests to the benefits of our products


Team Member Support:

  • Provides clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to ensure operational excellence and improve team member performance
  • Adjusts team member deployment as necessary to meet business needs
  • Ensures team and guest safety by following operational policies and procedures
  • Provides feedback to the Shop Manager on team member performance during shift
  • Assists with new team member training by leveraging company training and validation tools
  • Recognizes and celebrates individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational programs as well as contributing to finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition
  • Creates a positive work environment in alignment with our mission and core values

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have, or obtain, Food Handler Certificate as required by city or state
  • Ability to build relationships with guests, team members and leadership

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend information and follow instructions accurately and effectively
  • Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Subject to exposure to cleaning chemicals
