We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fertilization Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the health and vitality of our clients’ landscapes through the proper application of fertilizers and other soil amendments. If you do not have the necessary certification, we will cover the cost of obtaining it.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply and assess granular and liquid fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides to lawns, landscape plants, and trees.
- Identify and diagnose turf and landscape plant issues and diseases.
- Recommend treatments and repairs as needed to customers.
- Perform soil tests to determine nutrient levels and monitor plant health.
- Maintain accurate records of fertilizer applications.
- Restock service vehicles/trailers with necessary supplies daily.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with other landscaping tasks as needed such as mulching, mowing, edging and bed maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator in Indiana.
- Must have passed the Core Exam.
- Must have passed the Category 3b (Turf Management) Exam.
- Must be of legal age to operate heavy machinery (typically 18 years or older).
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain fertilization equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
