We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to lead a short-term business process documentation and training project at Greene Thumb. Every organization has important knowledge that lives in the minds of its employees. This internship will help us capture that knowledge and turn it into resources that make our organization stronger and make it easier for future employees to be successful. Working with employees in multiple office functions, the intern will learn how key responsibilities are performed, document the processes, and create standardized resources that are easy for someone new to understand and follow. This position offers considerable independence and is well suited for a student who enjoys organizing information, completing projects, interviewing people, learning how businesses operate, and creating something tangible from start to finish.
Greene Thumb is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused college student for a project-based internship over winter break.
The intern will help us capture and document how work gets done across our organization, from field-based jobs and daily operations to office and administrative processes.
You will work directly with employees in a variety of roles, interviewing and observing team members to understand their responsibilities, processes, and best practices. You will then turn what you learn into clear, easy-to-follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, training materials, and short instructional videos.
This is not a traditional internship filled with busywork. You will take ownership of a meaningful company-wide project and create resources that will help Greene Thumb train employees, preserve important knowledge, and improve consistency as the organization grows.
This opportunity would be a great fit for a student who:
No previous experience writing SOPs or producing professional videos is required. We're looking for someone who is curious, dependable, organized, and ready to learn.
Students from a wide variety of majors are encouraged to apply, including:
Every organization has valuable knowledge that lives in the minds of its employees. Your project will help us capture that knowledge before it gets lost and turn it into tools that can be used to train the next generation of Greene Thumb employees.
The SOPs and training resources you create won't be an academic exercise. They will be used by real employees doing real work.
