Graystar Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatch Supervisor to oversee centralized dispatch operations for all eight (8) company hubs. This position is based at company headquarters and is responsible for supervising dispatch personnel while ensuring the efficient coordination of daily freight movement across the entire Graystar network, including both local and over-the-road (OTR) operations. The Dispatch Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining service reliability, driver efficiency, and consistent execution across all hubs by directing dispatch activity, resolving operational issues, and ensuring accurate and timely freight movement.

Description

Key Responsibilities


Dispatch Supervision

  • Supervise headquarters-based dispatch personnel responsible for coordinating freight across all eight (8) Graystar hubs
  • Provide daily direction, oversight, and support to ensure accurate and efficient dispatch execution
  • Monitor dispatcher performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance when needed
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company dispatch procedures and operational standards


Centralized Dispatch Operations

  • Oversee daily freight coordination for local and OTR operations across all hubs
  • Assign and adjust driver workloads to ensure balanced utilization across the network
  • Manage real-time changes in freight demand, capacity, delays, and service requirements
  • Ensure all shipments are properly scheduled and executed in a timely manner


Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a key communication link between dispatch, Hub Managers, and drivers
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of assignments, updates, and service changes
  • Coordinate resolution of operational issues affecting freight movement or driver availability
  • Maintain alignment between headquarters and all hub operations


Operational Monitoring

  • Track freight movement, driver activity, and equipment status across all hubs
  • Monitor on-time performance, service execution, and operational efficiency metrics
  • Identify delays, inefficiencies, or disruptions and take corrective action
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs and operational records


Problem Solving & Execution

  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, coverage gaps, and operational disruptions in real time
  • Adjust dispatch plans to maintain service continuity across the network
  • Make operational decisions to support efficiency and on-time performance
  • Escalate significant issues to senior leadership when necessary


Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all dispatch activities comply with DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations
  • Monitor driver availability and compliance during assignment planning
  • Report safety incidents, violations, or concerns immediately to leadership


Qualifications


Required

  • 3+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or logistics operations
  • 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in dispatch or transportation operations
  • Strong understanding of trucking operations (local and/or OTR)
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume operational environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) preferred


Preferred

  • Experience supervising dispatch teams or working in a centralized control environment
  • Familiarity with multi-terminal transportation networks
  • Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations
