Responsibilities:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at GHS, you will:

Provide Direct Care – Assist individuals with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility support.

Promote Independence – Encourage and support individuals in developing daily life skills, social skills, and self-sufficiency.

Ensure Health & Safety – Monitor and assist with medication administration, follow care plans, and respond to medical or behavioral needs.

Support Community Engagement – Assist individuals in participating in community activities, outings, employment, and social events.

Behavioral Support – Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in individualized plans to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being.

Household Responsibilities – Assist with light housekeeping, meal planning, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment.

Advocacy & Empowerment – Serve as a strong advocate for individuals, ensuring their rights and choices are respected.

Documentation & Communication – Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behavioral observations, and care provided.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transporting clients).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must complete required training and certification courses as assigned.
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
