Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate dynamic youth group activities that promote engagement, teamwork, and personal growth
  • Provide supervision and support during youth programs, ensuring safety and well-being at all times
  • Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment
  • Lead discussions on relevant topics, including personal development, community service, or faith-based teachings
  • Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula that align with program goals
  • Assist with outdoor activities, camp experiences, or special events that enhance youth engagement
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate effectively with parents or guardians as needed

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive group atmosphere
  • Experience working with children or young adolescents in educational or recreational settings
  • Knowledge of child supervision techniques and childcare best practices
  • Ability to implement first aid protocols confidently; CPR and AED operation certification preferred
  • Background in special education or childhood development is advantageous
  • Proven experience in youth group activity facilitation and youth program teaching
  • Excellent team leadership abilities coupled with effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies and youth development principles
  • Outdoor work experience for organizing outdoor activities or camps
  • Compassionate Christian counseling or mentorship experience is a plus
  • Creative theater or arts experience to incorporate engaging activities into programs
