The Tax/Compliance Accountant ensures timely filing of tax and compliance reports in collaboration with internal departments and in accordance with the requirements of relevant external parties. This individual will participate in the month-end close with respect to product costs and internal controls and help develop and implement company policies, as well as monitoring and maintaining of IT systems.

Description
- Manage the sales tax program and ensure compliance
- Manage payroll tax activity and ensure proper payment and reporting
- Manage the income tax program and ensure compliance
- Manage other state and county compliance requirements
- Establish and monitor internal controls and policies
- participate in the month-end reconciliation and close process
- Monitor product costs and profitability
- Analyze and monitor inventory costs
- Reconcile and record cost of goods sold
- Maintain legal and insurance documents
- May perform limited supervisory duties
- Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, or specialization in accounting
- CPA certificate preferred
- 2 to 5 years relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of IT and ERP Systems
- Knowledge spreadsheet applications
