We are seeking an energetic, optimistic, and inspiring Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our passionate team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare and implement classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules; develop and prepare instructional aids and materials for classroom activities
  • Physically arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas and ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and properly maintained
  • Assist and supervise children during play-based, center-based activities, encouraging children to learn naturally and fostering curiosity
  • Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise
  • Communicate appropriate information to parents and maintain developmental profiles for children; schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences throughout the year
  • Complete all academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports
  • Maintain the family information board and other classroom bulletin boards; ensure the classroom medication schedule is followed
  • Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained
  • Direct activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested

Qualifications


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential accepted
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
  • Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday to at least waist height
  • Must pass a complete background check to be eligible for this position
  • Must meet Georgia state pre-service training requirements

Salary

$18 - $22 per hour
