Gooroo is looking for energetic and experienced video editors to edit educational videos covering a variety of subjects. You will be expected to edit multiple projects a week and meet deadlines. Videos are mostly talking head style with various subtitles and graphics for engagement and visual aid. The videos will be catered towards students (especially in special education), so you will need to be flexible in your editing style to accommodate those students. We place an emphasis on detail, efficiency and consistency in editing. If you feel like this position is for you, please share your portfolio with us!

This is a full-time remote position. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are looking for a flexible work schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Adobe Premiere

Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.

Ability to type and perform data entry information into a computer.

Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.

Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision.

Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.

Ability to plan and submit necessary course materials list in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
