Monitor children under state custody.

Description

The provider will monitor a hospitalized child, during medical or emergency situations where an assigned foster parent is not constantly available, as hospitals always require the presence of a guardian. Providers may also be used to sit with children in Tennessee Department of Children's Services offices or an alternative community setting who are in a transitional placement status. In such instances, the provider will be accompanied by one or more DCS staff member.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age AND be a high school graduate or have completed a GED/Hi-SET education OR 2 years of related employment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Have a valid, government issued photo identification.


Compensation:

  • The pay rate for each job assignment will be shown on the job board as assignments become available.
  • Job assignments are typically scheduled for 6, 8, or 12 hours.
  • Providers are paid twice per month.


Note:

  • Applicants are classified as 1099 Independent Contractors.
  • Applicants proficient in multiple languages, including American Sign Language, are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must complete fingerprinting and successfully pass a background check.

Salary

$16 - $22 per hour
