Assist in the day-to-day operations of our space and our community. This job is a healthy mix of receptionist duties, event support, and facilities management.
ABOUT YOU:
You’ve got lots of experience in the hospitality industry or food service, but are looking for something to supplement. You’ve got a side hustle brewing, or maybe several and love to talk shop. You’re addicted to to-do lists and you’re inexplicably motivated by an internal neat freak streak.
ABOUT THE JOB:
We are currently hiring a Hospitality Host to assist in the day-to-day operations of our space and our community at our two Medford locations (Medford Cowork Collective). This job is a healthy mix of receptionist support and facilities management.
You are actively involved in maintaining the facilities to the highest standards, allowing our members to feel pride in bringing their clients and investors into their office. This includes cleaning regularly and always making sure there is coffee. You provide and maintain quality service to the standards and frequency within the cleaning specifications. You help with move-ins and move-outs, distribute welcome bags and other goodies.
You love a checklist, and don’t mind interruptions and multi-tasking. You’re passionate about keeping our workspaces clean. You make sure every member and guest feels cared for and connected to you and the other members of the space. You are charming but tactful and firm when you need to be.
You listen attentively to member and guest concerns and you can field calls, requests, and issues and communicate them effectively to the community manager. You identify issues with building operations and maintenance and communicate those issues to community managers. You manage door access, and enforce building security. You process mail and packages discreetly.
You cover the front desk as needed. You greet people who come in, track walk-ins and calls, schedule tours, and answer member questions. You make sure everyone knows and follows the house rules, and enforce our commitment to community safety. You’re excited to suggestively sell the space to potential members.
Job Type: Part-time role, hourly pay (10-15 hours per week)
Benefits & Perks: We provide PTO and sick leave that accrues pro-rated based on hours worked. We’ll give you an MCC membership with 24/7 access to the space for all your side hustles. You’ll always have lots and lots of free coffee.
Salary: $16/hour
Hours: You will be scheduled to work between the hours of 8 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends. Your submitted schedule preferences and time-off requests will be considered alongside business needs to determine your work schedule.
