Golden Hour Designs is a Sacramento-based lifestyle brand built around creativity, self-expression, and the belief that everyday moments should be a little more fun. What began in 2020 as Amanda’s handmade jewelry business has grown into a growing brand carried in more than 800 retail stores across the U.S., with a flagship retail store, DIY Charm Bar, and creative programming in Oak Park, Sacramento.

Expectations: 

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• A positive, team-oriented attitude—comfortable shifting between tasks and environments
• Flexibility to support both retail and production operations as needed (this is the hybrid part)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy
• Comfort with both customer-facing interactions and hands-on production work

• Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

• Retail, sales, or customer service
• Events and/or hospitality
• Product assembly, craftsmanship, or production environments
• Shopify POS and/or basic inventory systems
• Slack and Google Workspace tools

Availability Requirements:

• Availability to work a mix of weekdays, weekends and upcoming holidays
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on seasonal business demands
• Seasonal demand: we're looking for team members to support during the months of November and December through the end of the year. This position has the possibility of growing into a more regular role for the right candidate(s).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Retail & Customer Experience [40%]

• Greet and welcome customers, creating a warm and engaging in-store experience
• Educate customers on product features and assist with selections and purchases
• Operate Shopify POS, handle transactions, and ensure accurate inventory tracking
• Support customer inquiries in-store, via phone, and via email as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked retail environment

Production & Fulfillment Support [40%]

• Assist in the assembly of jewelry and home goods with attention to quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished products to ensure consistency with GHD standards
• Package and prepare products for shipment or retail display
• Operate and maintain production tools and equipment safely
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines

Inventory & Operations [15%]

• Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders
• Track materials and product stock levels and update systems accordingly
• Support inventory organization and restocking across both retail and production areas
• Participate in routine inventory counts

Communication & General Support [5%]

• Use Slack and internal tools to stay informed and communicate with the team
• Support general operational needs and special projects as assigned
• Assist leadership with cross-functional tasks as business needs evolve

Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years old
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail/customer service; Minimum one year demonstrated experience
• Previous experience with Shopify POS highly preferred
• Previous experience with Slack preferred
• Intermediate skill in using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level of professionalism; able to handle difficult situations (such as change) with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a standard background check.

Job Location: Due to the nature of its responsibilities, this position is required to 100% on-site
