Global Go is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to support the company’s financial operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with payroll and compliance requirements, and supporting accounting processes related to federal construction projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting company leadership.

Description

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Experience working in the construction or federal construction industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with DCAA accounting requirements is a plus

Qualifications

  • Strong background in accounting and financial reporting
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Working knowledge of Procore and QuickBooks Online preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide clear and actionable financial insights
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making
  • Evaluate and improve financial workflows, approval systems, and reporting structures
  • Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Analyze project financial performance and prepare reports for management review
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation, receipts, and supporting records
  • Assist with tax preparation and external reporting requirements
  • Assist with biweekly collection of certified payroll information for federal projects
