Description

The QC Manager shall be a graduate engineer/graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of 5 years construction experience on construction similar to this contract, or a construction person with a minimum of 10 years in related quality management work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Implement and manage the project Quality Control (QC) Plan in accordance with contract requirements
  • Conduct three-phase control inspections (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up) for all definable features of work
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with contract drawings, specifications, and federal regulations
  • Coordinate and document daily QC inspections and testing activities
  • Maintain accurate QC documentation including reports, submittals, and deficiency logs
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure quality standards are met
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and material testing results
  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance
  • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards
  • Prepare and submit daily quality control reports and project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, inspections, and government coordination

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience (or 10 years of quality management experience)
  • Experience with federal construction quality control procedures
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and QC documentation
  • Experience with USACE Three Phase Control System preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary

$95,000 - $120,000 per year
