Project Manager with International Economic Development Experience

Description

CULTIVA, a renowned federal contracting firm specializing in international trade and sustainable development initiatives, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the execution and management of our federal and global partnership initiatives.


**Key Responsibilities:**


1. **Project Planning:** Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.


2. **Execution and Control:** Effectively manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. 


3. **Risk Management:** Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans. Implement solutions and escalate issues as required to mitigate these risks.


4. **Team Leadership:** Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives by ensuring clear communication between team members and stakeholders. Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.


5. **Client Communication:** Facilitate communication between the client and team. Regularly present project updates to the stakeholders, project team, and top management.


6. **Project Closeout:** Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve and streamline future initiatives.


**Qualifications:**


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.

- At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a consulting or federal contracting environment.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

- Familiarity with HUBZone federal contracting and international development projects is highly desirable.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in project management software tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to work well under pressure.

- Willingness to occasionally travel as needed.
